ONLY ONE WAY

 

We have lots of choices in life.  For example, at a birthday party perhaps you can choose between chocolate ice cream or vanilla ice cream.  In school perhaps you can decide to do a report on either George Washington or Abraham Lincoln.  At a restaurant perhaps you can choose between eating chicken fingers or a grilled cheese sandwich.  At home after school perhaps you can choose between watching a TV show on ABC or one on NBC.  In the morning perhaps you can choose between wearing a red shirt or a blue shirt that day.  In all of these cases, both choices are equally good.  There is no right or wrong choice.

 

Sadly, many people think that there is no right or wrong choice when it comes to getting to Heaven.  Many people think that it doesn't matter who you believe in or worship as long as you believe in something.  Some people believe that as long as you choose to do more good things than bad things that you will get to Heaven.  Some people are told that if you go to church or get baptized that you are ready for Heaven.  Others think that simply believing that God exists is enough.  THAT IS NOT WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES.  God is clear when He teaches us in His Word that there is ONLY ONE WAY to Heaven.

 

The Bible says in Matthew 7:13-14, "You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate.  The way that leads to destruction is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose the easy way.  But the gateway to life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it." 

You can enter the Kingdom of Heaven in ONLY ONE WAY, only through the "narrow way" -- through Jesus Christ God's Son.  There is NO OTHER WAY.  Many, many, many people are on the broad way.  The broad way is the easy way that seems right.  Many people think they are on the right road to Heaven, but they are not.  They are on their way to being forever separated from God in a place of punishment. 

 

Which way have you chosen?  Are you on the broad way that leads to destruction?  Or are you on the narrow way that leads to life that lasts forever with God in Heaven?  By sincerely asking Jesus to forgive your sin and come and live in your heart, you are securing your place on the narrow way.  Jesus is the only way.  Choose the right way by accepting Jesus as your Savior today.
